Mental health is about working with your emotions. They are tools and not something to fear. It took me a long time to realize this, and so now I work with them; I’m curious about them, I ask them what they need, I accept them and with them, I survive the ‘shipwrecks’ in my life.

I was inspired by our mental health survey where someone described mental health like waves and since then I couldn’t stop thinking about the ocean.

About the Artist

Georgia Willmott

Georgia is a 24-year-old artist who is heavily inspired by mental health and surrealism. They have a background in visual arts, digital art, filming, podcasting, and love supporting people’s creativity with their community art business: Art Kind. Outside of that, they work for YSAS as a Youth Advocate and volunteer for Artful Dodgers, the Satellite Foundation, Signal Arts Curators plus other youth mental health/creative organizations. Eventually, Georgia wants to be an art therapist.
